These 5 great blues licks for slide guitar come from legendary blues harp players. Download free TAB transcription for this lesson from http://www.onefingerguitarist.com/pageyt. Blues harmonica players have been a source of inspiration for slide guitarists for a long time – the phrases just work really well with the slide, and the vocal nature of both instruments makes it a really good fit.
In this lesson, we’ll look at licks from Sonny Boy Williamson II, Little Walter, Junior Wells and Lazy Lester. My hope is that you’ll then start to explore these players more and work out more harp licks for your slide playing.
I’m playing in Open G here, but the licks will work well in any tuning – just ignore the onscreen notation and use your ears 🙂
