I did a slide version of Auld Lang Syne a few years back on my old Strat. I did a nylon string backing first, then overdubbed the electric. It’s also in Dropped D tuning, like the new lesson. I tried all those open tunings and I love them too, but for sheer versatility and ease of integrating it into normal playing, Dropped D can’t be beat.
