Welcome to my Big Band Blues Jazz Guitar Lesson. For this style we use upper structure chords mainly. I’ll show you how to embellish your Bb Jazz Blues Guitar Chords, using choromatic shifts to achieve a Big Band like sound.
I’ll show you each of the Jazz Blues chords guitar note for note, slow and easy and there is also a slow tempo playthrough at the end of this Bb Jazz Blues Guitar tutorial.
Upper structure voicings are usually used for chord solos or short breaks. But if you want to play Big Bands style, you also use them for Jazz Blues Comping in Bb.
