—ABOUT this solo—
Here is a short clip of me playing a tasty blues guitar solo on my Fender Stratocaster. I tried adding some blues licks in the style of Josh Smith. When I play in the style of other guitarists, I don’t try to copy their licks literally but work their feel and concepts into my own playing, e.g. the pedal tone licks & double-time lick at the end are heavily inspired by Josh’s playing.
The groove is similar to his song ‘Where’s My Baby’.

Solo is mostly played in E major pentatonic, E major blues, E minor blues scale

GEAR:
Guitar: 1994 Fender Stratocaster American Standard
Amps: Fuchs Blackjack 21, Fractal AX8
Speakers: Celestion Creamback 212
Strings: Ernie Ball Slinky 0.10 (Josh uses 0,13s!!)
T-shirt: Peer Blues Festival 2019 😉
Blues tabs are written with Sibelius

Have fun with this texas-blues-style video and tab!
