My cover of the The Rolling Stones’ Brown Sugar in Open G tuning (D-G-D-G-B-D)
Recorded in Reaper over a backing track using a Fender Mustang II amp.
Although originally recorded over a three-day period at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama from 2–4 December 1969 “Brown Sugar” was was not released for over a year. It was included in the album ‘Sticky Fingers’ and released in May 1971 as the first single from the album, it reached no 1 in the US and no 2 in the UK.
