Learn this Chicago blues guitar lick (with tab)and you can play a blues solo Chicago style! This is a great lick for starting a blues solo with and is similar to the style of many Chicago blues guitar players. This lick is using classic string bending moves you need to know, and I’ve thrown in a cool little blues trill idea at the end of the lick. It’s in the key of A and works great over a shuffle 12 bar blues. In this blues guitar lesson I’ll show you step-by-step how to play the blues lick (including on-screen guitar tabs!), you’ll learn the scale shape it’s coming from and I’ll demonstrate how you can use it to make up blues licks of your own. So take what you can from this lesson, put on a blues jam track and see how you can start building blues guitar licks and solos of your own.
