Delta Blues can sound a little eerie and mysterious at times. Couple that with a dark open tuning like Skip James did and you’ve got yourself a haunting head start.

In this lesson, we’ll learn what intervals make up crossnote tuning (also called open Dm or open Em depending on the pitch of the strings).

We’ll also put this spooky tuning to work in a composition full of licks that sound as fun as they are to play.
