Welcome to the second instalment of our Blues Guitar Essentials course! In this course, we continue where we left off in Level 1, and bring in brand new ideas, theories, arpeggios and damn right bluesy gold to feast your eyes and ears on! We actually have one main focus the ties this entire course together, and that is the mastery of the slow blues.

Essential Blues Guitar Lessons Level 2 [Lesson 2 of 20] Master The Slow Blues
For the first two bars we are bringing in two very cool chord shapes to add to your repertoire! First up, let’s talk 9th chords. A dominant 9th chord is simply a dominant 7th chord, with an added 9th above the chord. The 9th is the second degree of the major scale, up an octave.
