“Feelin’ Good” is one of those songs that nails that magical balance between sounding lonesome and low-down, but somehow makes you feel good… but then, I guess that’s what blues music is all about. I love Nina Simone’s version for her killer vocal performance, but also for the band arrangement. The recording of that track is so warm and beautiful. I just got this new Mad Professor “Old School 51 RT” amp, and when I plugged this old vintage Harmony hollow-body into it for the first time, it sounded so vintage, fat, and lush, this song just came pouring out.
