Recorded by Robert Wilkins in 1929. When he was rediscovered in the 60ies he wouldn’t play blues anymore and performed only religiuous material (with the same blues guitar accompaniment though).
The Rolling Stones recorded their version as “Prodigal Son” on their “Beggar’s Banquet” LP
