GUITAR LICK MINUTES is a new series where I play some famous licks to classic songs or tunes.
This week we will look at some of the licks to Merle Haggard’s classic song “Working’ Man Blues” It’s in the key of A.

Merle recorded a few versions of this song with slightly different licks and solos. However the licks I’m demonstrating here are a closer representation of the earlier version of the song which guitarist James Burton played on. Although the original solo is played with a capo and played out of E chord my version allows you to play it without a capo using A chord and giving a similar tonal style.

Guitar used: Fender Baja Telecaster

I hope you enjoy and if you do like this series please comment, like and subscribe!. Thanks for your support! Cheers!
