Whenever I pick up a guitar for the first time, I like to listen to it for a while and really get to know it’s personality. This “Puddle Jumper” travel guitar from Journey Instruments has a great bluesy tone and a medium/high action which makes it perfect for some old-time delta and hill country blues.. which is perfect for a travel guitar that can break down & fit into a backpack! This tune is sort of a hybrid Delta/Hill Country Blues arrangement of “Wish I Was in Heaven Sittin’ Down.” A lot of classic blues and gospel musicians have covered this tune over the years, but my favorite is R.L.
