I was in my teens. My guitar teacher showed me pedal steel licks of Honky Tonk Women. I didn’t know that Jagger-Richards-classic rock classic then, but I was so excited! Those country guitar bends sounded the coolest stuff you can ever play with guitar! (Of course I bought a lot of Rolling Stones-LP’s later!).

And here I am, still in love with those country guitar licks! My guitar is Fender Highway One Telecaster and amplifier is Roland Microcube. 60’s surf rock band The Ventures recorded quite nice instrumental version of Honky Tonk Women on their album “Swamp Rock”. So here is my version.

Thank you so much for your cool backing track, GuitarZombie! It was very nice to play with it.

And thanks, Arto, my great guitar teacher! I wasn’t very keen at studying music theory or reading notes, but I learned much during those guitar lessons!
