How To Play Still Got The Blues Guitar Lesson | Lead Guitar Tutorial With Tabs

In this lesson James breaks down how to play the intro for Still got the blues by Gary Moore. This iconic lead guitar solo has both half and full tone bends that make it a great talking point to learn from.

When bending strings on the guitar make sure to have the end in mind! Don’t bend notes aimlessly and hope for the best. Bear in mind how far you are going to bend and use your ear to get to that point. Ensure on using both the ring and middle fingers to push the string upwards and don’t worry about pushing other strings out of the way. I did a video last week that takes a deep dive into bending strings. This can be found here:

To get the woman tone I talked about in the video, use the neck pickup of a Gibson style guitar and roll the tone knob down just enough to get a smooth and sustained sound with a little bit of overdrive.
