Tuesday Blues #231 – https://mybgi.net/2S7Lzxb

To me, there are two sides of playing acoustic blues in the key of D. You can fingerpick the brighter side of things and go for a Mississippi John Hurt kind of sound or drop your 6th string and play with a darker, bluesier vibe.

In this lesson, we’ll get that low growl happening on the 6th string by using Dropped D tuning and we’ll throw a couple of gritty, dirty sounding blues licks right on top.

If you’re looking for a quick way to expand your confidence playing D Blues, give this lesson a shot.

Tune Down. Have fun!
