In this video we’re studying the hypnotic, bluesy solo that introduced the track ‘Worry’ by one of the UK’s greatest rock bands, Free.

The guitarist will need no introduction and was, of course, the great Paul Kossoff.

‘Worry’ was the second track on Free’s debut album, ‘Tons of Sobs’.

Recorded in October of 1968 and released on 14th March, 1969, it was a remarkable first album, especially given the fact that all four band members were under the age of 20.

The first lick is repeated eighteen times, and I suggest counting four batches of four, then adding a one and a two before the next lick. I demonstrate the count in the breakdown.

I hope you enjoy the video.

Please like and share if you do.

Cheers,
Mark
