A resonator guitar is a great instrument for playing slide blues. This is an Icarus guitar, a Chinese made copy of a National Duolian. It’s all stock, it hasn’t been modified in any way except for taming the sharp fret ends. The strings are D’Addario EJ42. To be exact, this guitar is not tuned to open G but rather open F, which of course is the same type of tuning but a full tone lower. I forgot this information in the video. If you don’t want to spend big money on a National this is not a bad alternative. The folks who sell them are really good to deal with too.
