This lesson focuses on the solo to The Doors’ Roadhouse Blues. It’s a great little solo that has only a couple of motifs mixed and matched and is played over an E7 vamp played by Robby Krieger. There’s a link below where you’ll find the tab for the solo.
Roadhouse Blues” is a song by the Doors, which appears on the 1970 album Morrison Hotel. It was released as the B-side of “You Make Me Real”. A staple for the group, it really features Robby Krieger on the song. He played all the guitar parts and you can hear Morrison say “Do it Robbie, do it” on the record.
Here’s where you can find Robbie himself going through the song – part one of the #LearnToPlayTheDoors series with Robby Krieger, featuring “Roadhouse Blues.” Grab your guitar and amp and dig in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEL1IWw0DgM&t=2s
