  1. Except he seemed to be really on his game on the ’73 tour. Page was insanely good on The Song Remains the Same album. However, when you listen to the studio solos on Presence, for example (an album I like), he sounds pretty sloppy there.

  2. I think Page was a little overrated, very sloppy live guitarist.

  3. Yep…Townshend was great, but he could never pull off the tricks that Hendrix, Clapton, and Page were capable of. As for Van Halen, dude was a legend in the 80s! But yes, I do appreciate Townshend and his music, don’t get me wrong. Best drummer of the 60s-70s was def Keith Moon in my opinion…..

  4. finaly sum appropriate music for earthquakes. while a chandelier is shakin Mr. Richards gitar is playin them lead fills an a kwire starts a boomin them voices like a dragon bein slade by st. anthony. yep, i rekkun them nature gods gots em sum good tastes in musics.

  5. I could see that, sure. I just feel Zeppelin were kind of in their own category, being the heaviest mainstream rock band of the time, besides Black Sabbath. But I could agree with you on that 100 percent if I had a few pints of lager in me.

  6. Whoa. That’s actually a great description. I can never explain why I like The Stones better than Zeppelin, but I think you explained it for me.

  7. The Best Stones album is titled-Aftermath followed by let it bleed, sticky fingers, beggars banquet, and out of our heads.

  8. It may arguably be their best album lyrically, and it clearly sounds Stonafied.I love this dandy because the Stones heart is in it soulfully.

  9. I’ve always come to think of it like Stones/Beatles, The Who/Zeppelin.

  10. This is true……between all of the British invasion bands I like THE WHO the best…..and I think they have the most talent.

  11. Stones are a good band, and I like some of their tunes but as a whole I like bands like Zeppelin and the Who much better….and both bands are much better musicians.

  12. the versio of the grand funk it’s VERY VERY WORSE than the original by the gods of rock n roll

  13. Writing a song is much harder then covering a song

  14. Zeppelin and Stones are like apples and oranges. The real war was between Beatles and Stones. Zepp is more hard rock/metal.
