Palpable excitement was rewarded by still more palpable excitement, as The Rolling Stones took to the stage in London on November 25 2012, even among the back rows of the vertiginous Level 4 of the O2 Arena. As the Sheffield couple, on my right, declared with infectious optimism: "These are great seats! You can see everything!" I had dreaded these seats, as I love standing in the first few rows of a concert, but the standing area, and indeed the entire floor and Level 1 were beyond my price bracket, yet I wanted to see The Rolling Stones badly. Some songs I rocked out to, other songs I recorded, but every song was a treat! The Rolling Stones really are one of the most exciting bands in the world, even from Level 4, and age has not withered them! I hope standing is more affordable when the Stones tour next year, and maybe I can get closer, lol! Here is "Paint It Black," taken from The Rolling Stones 1966 album, "Aftermath." 🙂 Find The Rolling Stones here: rollingstones.com (Artist reserves all rights, no copyright infringement intended).

  1. I hope u all had a good night. Without me :(. I tried to get the cheap tickets, but the site went down by other fans and a lot of idiots who just wanted to sell their tickets again for profit i am so sad i couldn’t be there, but i hope they’ll do a whole tour leg in Europe when this is over.

  3. you are very right. Mick is a very elusive person for a million good reasons I imagine – best way to handle fame – but he is also a genius at using it to his and his band’s advantage and def thru the 70s the band would have foundered without Mick’s stewardship. Everyone may love Keith now but if Mick had gone off on the same tangent as Keith at that time (and it was a long time) then no band as we know it today.

  17. Great job Steve of sharing the concert with us, you certainly got a great posi for it . Pleased to know you found a balance between enjoying the show and being a camera man.

Haven’t seen these lads live since Hyde Park 69, still got the mojo.

  21. think about what your saying.god bless brain, but he was falling out.he let mick take the band.if mick didn’t do it,the stones were doomed. taylor was also cheated, but mainly by keith.mick kept that band together.somebody had to learn the bussiness side.keith got more involved when he sobered up a little.that’s when those two fell out.bottom line mick saved the stones.

  23. Well now I better understand why they ignored Mick Taylor all these years. They didn’t even recognise Brian Jones who was their creator &, for awhile, artistic Svengali. The Rolling Stones really are a bunch of duche bags.
