Here is my short version of Bill Monroe’s classic song, Watson Blues, which was named by Bill for Doc Watson after Doc came up with the opening lick on guitar. The two musical giants performed together often to audiences lucky enough to be in attendance.
I recorded this one afternoon recently at home in one take on each the guitar and mandolin. I’m not really a mandolin player, but, I managed to scratch out a few notes for this one. Thanks for listening! Tom
