  1. trying to emulate holdsworth on the guitar - LOL. the really hilarious thing is that it makes totaly sense

  2. The idea is based on Allan Holdsworth in the tune "Devil Take The Hindmost" (on the Metal Fatigue album), at 3:44.

This has been bugging me for weeks since I first saw this vid. I knew I’d heard that lick before!

  3. he uses the RC Booster, AC Booster and BB Preamp by Xotic in front of his tube amps to get that singing sustaining tone. Somewhere, maybe the Xotic site, he goes into a full explanation.

  4. Clean channel on a fender + decent neck pickup will get you there easily.

  5. Such great tone… so curious to know what kind of pickups, amp, speakers and effects he uses to get that tone.. I have heard him play many times and he pretty much has that signature tone.. I know he used to use a Fender Twin but I suspect he probably uses many different amps. If anyone knows I would love to hear your comments. Thanks

  6. I guess some guys just have "the touch"….Mr.Hinds is definitely one of them. Other members in the club? Eric Johnson, Allan Holdsworth,Brett Garsed. TJ Helmerich and Shawn Lane.

  7. I think he uses Line 6 Spider 3 amplifiers too.

    Hahahahah.

  8. i think he uses a boss gt-8 multi effects processor
