  1. McCartney may well have played it in standard tuning but since when has there been only one way to play a song… I think it’s cool in open G (though I play it t’other way..)

  2. Very nice … thanks for posting that excellent tutorial.

  3. funny how you can call someone a moron when you cant spell.

  4. Do you think he doesn’t know that…..lol….He’s showing how to do it in Open G….he didn’t say that’s how Paul played it, moron

  5. Nice and thanks. You do have the G tuning down half a step, though.

  6. What a pleasant lesson. Mr. Jones, you are methodical but creative and very easy to follow in your presentation. Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to sit down and re-learn this song in your style. It’s much better than my old one.

  7. please can you tab this , please please!

  8. good sir i like it

i think the mcartney did alittle bit diffrent struming patern but im going to learn it this way it sounds fine

o and i like the singing too helps to lear the song

  9. The song was recorded in 1968. Paul McCartney used a Martin D28 acoustic guitar in Open G Tuning. So if you want a true rendition of Blackbird then RDAVIDJONES99 has it spot on.

  10. of course that it’s standart tunning but I have to admit that with Open G sound good too

  11. Very nice version. Mr. McCartney wrote and performs Blackbird on hi old Epiphone in standard tuning

  12. I play it with the regular tuning but I like the way you play it with this tunning! BTW you have a really cool voice, nice and soft!
