A mix of blues and Hawaiian slack key and steel guitar. Tuning open G but raised a half step so its D#G#D#G#CD# The Hawaiian part is based on Mai Kai No Kauai Tablature available at my website www.daddystovepipe.com Im playing a dobro made by Joseph Yanuziello
awesome.
Inspiring piece. And great technique. Thnx . tSD
dude this is so awesome
i just started playing in open tunings
and this is very inspiring nice hat too
there’s no halfnote between B and C so that’s why it’s a C – consider it like I’m playing with a capo at the first fret – then you get D#G# etc
the song is perfectly playable in DGDGBD, my version is tuned up because you get a greater string tension with a clearer sound as a result
You say your tunning is D#G#D#G#CD#, if so, you’re saying that the Open G you’re using is DGDGB#D.
What’s the difference in having the 2nd string half a step higher than usual?
Is this song not playable on regular DGDGBD?
wow..At first I was a bit doubtful when I saw the video title, but man you nailed it perfectly! that was an excellent piece. merci beucoup!
WOW which guitar is that, awesome sound!
No, this one was made by Canadian Joseph Yanuziello.
I found it used on ebay a couple years ago.
Holy cow! Is there no style that you won’t take a shot at? You hit that one right out of the ballpark. Keep up the good work!
