  2. You the man, Carvin, Superb blues guitar playing!

  3. Trying to make sense…Sorry not even close

  4. Can’t really compare him to Jimi or Stevie Ray cause everyones so unique but he stands right beside them.

  5. all good, if wasn’t for you tube i wouldn’t have heard of Carvin Jones

  6. You are right about Jimi having not taught him anything.
He went to Jimi’s and SRV’s ‘school’. I’m sorry for the mistake.

  7. You clearly haven’t looked anything up. Check his bio. He was "influenced" by those guitarists, not taught by them. Like they would have wasted their time giving out guitar lessons.

  8. First of all he’s not old enough to have been taught by Jimi Hendrix and secondly, by the time he started playing gigs SRV had died. He’s just a rip off of those amazing musicians and can’t even hold a candle at their wake. Don’t just say ignorant things to make a point, try next time to have some information behind it.

  9. That doesn’t mean he has to copy them. Get your own voice. That’s like being taught by Shakespeare and writing Homeo and Buliet. I had a teacher too, but I did my own thing.

  10. He was taught by both Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan…

  11. Trying to be Stevie… Sorry not even close.

  12. gonna see him this weekend for free at Jake-o-mines in Apache junction.

  13. OMG! I love this guy.Saw his show time and time again around Phoenix. That is how you play a guitar blues style…I Love!

  16. I first saw Carvin back in 1998 at Joe’s Grotto when I lived in Phoenix. Bought his CD and have been a fan ever since. 🙂
