  1. If you’re into slide, there’s dobros and steel resonatorguitars which you can play on your lap using only a slide, so you wouldn’t even need that middle-finger.

  2. xcellent instruction. would you have any advice for a player missing his middle finger-open E is all I can play in. thanx, J.D.

  3. Excellent, clear lessons – I’ve played blues for many years but only just picked up slide, and your tips have already got me sounding half decent. Cheers!

  4. Europeans dont know blues. This is an American music deeply rooted in a rich and complex cultural style. Want to know blues! Watch BB King. Soon the orginals will all be gone and all we will have left is copy cats like this guy.

  5. Nice job on the slide lesson! I like to see more slide techniques…

  7. Hey thanks very much, maybe i could do a ry cooder inspired lesson, i love his music, (coes i dont do cover numbers becorse of the copy right law) thanks again..

  8. Really great lessons keep them coming please. would you be able to do a little tutorial on a ry cooder paris texas type song

  9. Hi it is a roundneck Dobro (resonator guitar) here is a link where i bought it at republicguitars
the guitar is best for slide though, its a little rough to only play like a normal guitar, coes the strings are thick, and fare from the fretboard.
    hope this helped you 🙂
