This is my cover of Dark was the Night, Cold was the Ground by Blind Willie Johnson. He was a poor blind man that was born in poverty and died in poverty but somehow managed to capture the true feeling of spirituality. This song performed by him was included in the Voyager Golden Record – The Sounds of Earth along sides the likes of Mozart. The record should it not be struck by interstellar debris will endure for a billion years perhaps even outliving humanity.
