Good slide playing can seem elusive to guitarists. There are open tunings to learn and it can seem impossible to just get a good clean note. Even for experienced fretters!
I’ve hit some tough spots with my slide guitar playing too but one thing that really helped to get me over the hump was to pay attention to my muting. Both with my fret hand and my picking hand.
Today we’re going to look specifically at a slightly advanced muting technique for your picking hand that will really clean up your slide sound letting only the notes you want to sound get through.
