oh what i wouldn’t give to have been at this show.
WOW what’s the name of this song?
Keyboard? Its an organ through a damn Leslie and sounds great.
agree for the most part, but his playing became more relaxed in later years, much like BB,and i enjoyed that period too,but agree i prefer his early 60’s stuff.clapton did indeed hone his skills memorising freddie king, but also robert johnson, his all time hero
Back when black folks ruled the music world and was at its finest.
yeah! those lapels are as big as a hang glider!
this vid, although props to the uploader for sharing, doesn’t really do justice to what fred was capable of. for some reason, most of the live material i’ve heard just doesn’t hit the mark like his early 60’s recordings on the federal label did. they seal him as easily the most gifted of the 3 ‘kings’. more rockin’ than b.b; more soulful than albert. those were the recordings that, as a young kid, clapton locked himself in his bedroom and didn’t come out til’ he had em’ all down note for note.
aaahahaha!! Yeah I’m not a fan either. Gets in the way of the guitar.
face melted
thnx
his instrumentals rule. try: ‘sen-sa-shun’, ‘san-ho-zay and ‘the stumble’ among a few.
that keyboard is SO annoying…
his records from the early 60’s are his best material by far.
The best!!!!
