Instrumental in open D (DADF#AD). Avery Island is a nature reserve in Louisiana owned by the McIlhenny family who make Tabasco sauce. Hows that for a contribution to the well-being of Mankind. In my mind this piece has a sort of Cajun waltz feel. (The audio may leave a little to be desired, but we got the right mic for others in this series.) www.myspace.com Many thanks to camera wiz Andy Calvert for tolerating a lot of faffing about.

  1. hahhaha never a truer word spoken coolest guitars and strength needed

  2. That’s a very clean sound, and I like the melody. Good work!

  3. Only Amistar spring to mind in that area, or Busker Guitars from the UK make good stuff.

  4. Thank you, glad you like it. For the aspiring reso owner….If you want to play standing up, have good lower back strength….Be prepared to find all other acoustic guitars slightly disappointing…At any session you will have the coolest guitar in the room, deal with it…..Start saving. You WILL want a National. I did and I have. That’s why the previous suggestion will no longer apply if I’m there. Welcome to unhealthy obsession.

  5. One problem… you make everything look too easy! Great playn’!

  6. I’m playing at The Rose and Crown, 10 St Michael’s St, St Albans, Herts, this coming Monday, 20th June.

  7. Cracking stuff Garry!! Hopefully catch you around town soon! Will
