  1. You know,I learnt a thing or two here,so for that alone I say thank you very much Justin, this is a pretty cool lesson. And you’ve presented it well, clear, easy to get.And what’s even better is the ‘language’ and ‘playing’ all at once to give it a kind of seamless quality or feel to it all. Very cool, cheers J.

  2. Always great for Steely fans to connect. God Bless and thanks for the lesson.

  4. Hey Justin!
I don’t mean to be a hater but didn’t Riffoftheweek do this? Or a lesson like this?
    I like both lessons!

  5. ‘sounds great, that’s why people do it, not because theory is cool’ heheh good one!
    Thanks for another great lesson.
    Greetings from Poland

  6. @Sennanchie and @siyomai
What a great arguement. No fighting, no name calling, no stupidity. That’s rare on Youtube, everytime someone disagrees with something you say, it becomes a fight.

  7. Oh no… I guess we have different interpretations of that. He is far from dead! I just meant "late" as in later on in his career is all.

  8. yeah but when you say late then your saying that the guy is dead. Like the late Micheal Jackson. But your right their both great. 🙂

  9. Well maybe a little, since he is 51 years old now and first got started with Zappa when he was 19. But he still has a long way to go. Or at least I hope! What a great guy he is too. Both of them, Steve and Justin.

  10. Vai may be great, but he is not yet late. Justin very helpful by the way.

  11. i just missed out on a distinction in on my solo performance exam because of my problem of not having the licks mixed in enough 😡 so thanks for the advice. hopefully ill get that distinction next term :p

and i think these 9 chords are used in hendrix’s last ever recording at electic lady studios. its just a slow blues jam

  13. Super lesson! I have just been working on Stormy Monday perfect timing. What was the song you played out on ….Steely Dan…something?
