Try typing in {how to tell the difference between note octaves} at the top of your home search page. It will be the first link. Watch the vid. Hope it helps and good luck.

what do i do if I cant distinguish pitches in different octaves? Like people try to tell me the C on A will sound the same as the open e string if you detune the E to the pitch of the third fret on A. They try to say that it will be C, one octave lower. Will to me, they DON’T SOUND THE SAME AT ALL. Am I just tone deaf? Should I just go mess around on a piano or something and play corresponding notes in different octaves? I mean what the heck?

Great Tutorial even if my english isn’t good at all. With a Guitar tuner, it’s possible to tune it under 45 seconds. I tryed it 🙂
Thank you!
