Guitar Lesson: Slide Guitar Basics

View more @ www.freeguitarvideos.com This beginner lesson will look at how to play the strings with your right hand fingers. Using your fingers instead of a pick will give you more control over which notes can heard and for how long. Then well look at the left hand and discuss how to wear the slide, vibrato, and other techniques.

hey finally some progress. i have been trying to figure out how to get such clean sound with a slide (cut copper pipe, oh well) for a while now. now I no not to use a pick. thank you so much

Thank you so much. Just bought my first slide. Got home & left hand seemed to quickly workout what was needed,but did’nt occur to me to ditch the pick!!
Your lesson is awesome. Straightforward and easy to follow. You have a great tone, which just inspires me to really try and learn this amazing style of blues guitar.

I’m curious as to which tuning you’re in? I’ve noticed several slide players playing in Open Tunings such as E and D. This is a very helpful video. Thank you for posting!
