pretty sure rossi tunes his bottom E up to A mate. Hence the 12 strring type sound of the A chord. good video dude!

Hi- loved working through the video – my first time on anything like this.
Only niggle is that the sound sync goes out by about a second for the last two sections which makes it really hard to follow especially around that slide that gave you the trouble.
Thanks

is well explained, but in my opinion would have to lower the high amplifier, because the chords are not heard. good in any case it was just that, well explained …
pd: excuse my English, I know it’s ridiculous

Hi
Do you mean Rick Parfitts part?
I think he just plays in normal tuning using barre chords.

You shouldn’t worry too much about the 5th and 6th strings. They are very thick and can take quite a bit. I tuned my low E string up to a G for Mystery Song, and I was worried at first that it would snap, but it was my high E string that snapped instead. Any guitar should do. I bought a cheap guitar for about 300 zloty, about 60 pounds, and surprisingly it sounds really good. To get the Quo sound here, I just turn the distortion almost all the way up, and it’s done 🙂

Fantastic! I’ve been trying to learn this intro, but people play it so many different ways and I wanted to play it like Francis :) It got quite a bit confusing at times, but I wrote everything down and I’m off to try it on my guitar 🙂 I hope there’s more videos to come!

Hiya Paul
You can use the guitar you normally play on for Quo songs. To tune the guitar, I would suggest tuning the strings down, not up. Tuning up puts too much stress on the guitar neck. Rick Parfitt plays a lot in open tunings but has a guitar with a reinforced neck.
I will do a video that demonstrates how to tune the guitar as it seems to be causing a bit of confusion for a lot of people. Thanks for looking and keep on rockin’
