    most have turned to junk over time
    if you find one in good shape they are ok

    @Nick Ricketts They are a little ugly, but they play great, sound good (with nice pickups) and are good price. I prefer the S series, they look awesome compared to RG. Though pickups are bad, just replace them.

    the problem is that I had to string it and set it up in order to discover the slight rise in the fretboard
    the neck is straight without string tension
    it’s not that far out of spec 1/64 "
    my suggestion is live with it
    play it
    think about levelling the frets at a later date with the knowledge we have gained this time

    Did he not want to spend the money to level and dress the frets?

    Interesting idea putting the ball end in the tuners- I tried it once with no success – the holes in the tuners were too small to accommodate the extra wraps at the ball end. Ruined new strings – Haven’t tried it again.

    yea, and the funny thing is that i have a cort made on indonesia, that is almost as good as my ibanez(good work and all that) but that’s maybe because cort was trying to make themselves a reputation(the guitar is a cort xth, which only have a not as good bridge)

    ‘Tis a pick holding device for multiple picks and it dispenses them as you play, instead of having a load gaffa’d to a mic stand
    (and then not removing it and leaving a horrible sticky mess for the sound crew to deal with cause you’re an ego-maniacle guitarist *grumble grumble, stoops back of into the shadows of the sound desk*)

    Ah the one of a kind RG- 517. I had the exact same one in the 90’s. Only thing I miss is the blue sparkle finish. HAHA
