  1. I think Hendrix is a bit more than that.

    RIP SRV
    RIP JH

  2. Hendrix’s dissonance as you call it is way much more soulful and musical than any other guitarist ever,,,His touch was just magical, even the noisiest stuff,,,was pure feeling…By the way this is a couple of different docos on both put next to each other,,,from MTV rocumentary on Hendrix and various of SRV from othe programs previously available,,, Long Live Jimi,,,,Cheers

  3. Hendrix was never predictable and a genius that even guitarists who think speed is the greatest thing on earth are still trying to get that Hendrix feeling, and they can not, no matter how fast they play,,, Jimi was more inventive, fresh and new in his aproach to everything, so there is no comparison, as Neil Young says,

  4. Hendrix was and still is the most exciting guitarist ever,, Strangely enough SRV tried to copy some aspects of Jimis, but even he {SRV himself] said that there was only one Jimi Hendrix and he was still in awe of him when he died,,, Stevie was great and his clean playing was amazingly fluent and melodic and musical, but he was overall very predictable,,Hendrix was never predictable and a genius that even guitarists who think speed is the greatest thing on earth are still trying to get that
