   Hey man, thanks for the compliment. It’s hard tell, simply by listening, what guitar he used for his recordings. The ones in the photos are not a guarantee that he used either of them. Johnny Shines said that Robert Johnson really liked the archtop guitar. It would not surprise me if an archtop was used on his recordings. Maybe we’ll find out for sure someday.

   Hi Gene ,Seen lots of posts on here for R J but got to say you come very close with your playing . inspirational to know it can actualy be played, besides all the myth that surround it, and the man himself.i would like to know your opinion on what guitar you think he Actualy played on his recordings.Judging by ear.thanks.

   Gene, I got your book. And honestly the history of Robert floored me. I was tempted to go to the end of of the book. But its best to read from start to end a few times. Then go in the playing. All i got when reading was tons of ah-a moments. However its still a book that really i cant leave down. I also got the NEW TRANSCRIPTIONS months ago. However i guess your book puts those on the bench for now.
