I saw a documentary at netflix on him and he really wasn’t promoted much in the USA plus he wouldn’t make any singles to get on the air and that didn’t help either. With that said, I found his story very inspirational and I don’t inspire easily. They also had a concert at netflix he did not long before his death that was awesome too. A great talent who never got too full of himself.

Can’t believe all of you that never heard of Rory before. I first saw him in NYC in the early-mid 70’s, great show.
Oddly I’d never heard of this guy til a few years ago and I’m a huge 60”s rock fan. pretty damn good !!!

I was at his last gig at Kentish Town & Country Club in North London now it’s called Forum, he was so drunk he couldn’t finish the first song concert was cancelled tickets were refunded and sometime later he died from liver complications, sad..

He played until we could take the first train home on Sunday morning, because we were not allowed to drive a car on Sunday due to the oilcrisis. No need to tell you the train was full of Rory fans, singing his songs out loud, sharing drinks and food, so the party just went on for hours. We had to travel 150 km, one of the nicest travels ever.

Every now and than I return here just to listen to this great version and to see the joy Rory’s music gives the audience. Always a treat, specially on a Sunday morning when it is snowing (like now)
