  1. Hi Tommyboy, thanks for the comments. I’ll think about using a lapel mic next time. Maybe you could turn the volume up to hear me better? 🙂

As the video description suggests, this is just a brief look at slides.. Also, I’ve never heard of an Aluminium slide? I can’t imagine it would work very well at all, as aluminium is so soft… I’ve never seen one.

Yep, using Open G throughout these lessons.

    Thanks

  3. Hi!
    Thanks for making this video.
#1- I could barely hear you speaking. Next video, you should mic your voice….
    #2- You missed aluminum slides.
#3- Are you using an alternate tuning?

  5. Hi there, thanks for the great message. I really wanted to set out the basics of slide guitar so that people who are interested can start from the bottom and not think they have to play like Lowell George or Ry Cooder straight away!

    Cheers!

  7. Hello from Los Angeles, I just wanted to let you know that I used to think slide guitar was so hard until I found your videos. You really lay down a good base for future learning. Thank you very very much.

  29. Thanks for an interesting lesson. I’m going to look for a slide. One of my favourite tunes is Powis Square by Ry Cooder. Your samples remind me of that great tune. Looking forward to learning from you.
    Thanks.
