  1. I’m sure there are lots here on YouTube. I learned a lot from the Stefan Grossman and Bob Brozman acoustic tapes (DVDs now) and Roy Rogers has a good one on electric slide.

  2. does anyone teach the absolute basics for playing the slide guitar to someone who has never played before?

  3. Not completely sure what you mean but in general my best advice is to just keep doing it till you can do it in your sleep. Eventually everything will come together.
Thanks for the comments on SHC. I’ll let jessie know.

BTW, I really liked your video!

  4. Can you do a lesson that focuses on the slide part of this lesson. The shuffle is cool but I am having a hard time making it flow like you do when spicing it up with the slide. And I love your version of Sweet Home Chicago.

  5. Thanks man! Exactly what i was looking for. Awesome tutorial and playing.

  6. Helpful video. Gave me some ideas. Your guitar has a cool tone, but I don’t recall ever seeing a guitar exactly like that one.

  7. Thanks. Not really a song, just some Robert Johnson/Son House licks.

  8. Nice lesson!

Which song is at the end? I think i heard it before.

  9. Nice video…much muting are you doing on the strings not being played?

  10. Thanks. I see that you’re a fan of Son House and if you watch him you’ll see pretty much everything I know in G.

  11. Well as a total amateur video maker I’m glad you found it useful. :o)

  12. Great, great, great. As a total amature to slide, this was really helpful. Thanks from UK

  13. Great! I learned the shuffle in an hour and it is fun. I can’t believe it. Thanks much.

  14. Yeah it’s just a wine bottle that I hacksawed off. Used a carbide blade and finished it on the belt sander.
I don’t drink so every Christmas I nab a couple straight-necked bottles at the family parties. I have a nice little collection now.

  15. Pretty Cool Mike, What kind of slide are you using there? Home made?
