Here’s an absolutely fabulous blues riff to play around with.. The main riff of the song perfectly outlines our Gm and Cm Pentatonic Scales respectively. The song should be seen as a vehicle by which you learn how to play your own blues leads in the key of Gm. Let’s play the tune and try the main riff up an octave. I had a go at playing lead on the song, I hope you dig it and hope you find some goodies you might be able to use as well.

Work your lead magic over the backing track. I recommend starting with a strong dose of Gm Pentatonic Scales but if you’re feeling brave give your G Natural Minor scale a whirl. If you feel real comfortable give the D5 chord a helping of D spanish phyrigian! Scales can be found in the supplemental tabs provided.
