thank you
Well, I’m in Tijuana Mexico, a bit out of the way of the Sheffield area. I am delighted to watch you play these tunes on guitar. You know, I had a flamenco guitar made for me by Jose Sivillano a few years ago that I was considering selling to a good friend later this year. He won’t be happy; I’m considering keeping it now, thanks to you.
Thanks for commenting. Only touring is in the Sheffield area. Search You Tube for Toffee Music and Crazy Crow to see what I am doing these days.
I don´t know what to say. What a joy to hear these arrangements played so well, goofs and all. Too bad the video goes out of sync. Thanks so much for investing the time to do this. Do you tour?
good work mike
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Which of the animators on your channel is you?
Great!
Thanks for taking the time to comment – do you fancy getting the tab from my web site and trying it yourself??
Mike
wow so good 🙂 ty
This song will forever be "cool" just because Joplin like our Professor Lydiat here are the real deal, no tricks, just cool licks. Just about everyone I’ve played it for is either amazed or think it’s a new song. Hehehe Step aside hip hop generation…ragtime is back.
Lexi – I’m too old to understand the jargon. I hope it’s positive??!
big up mike, original hunters barbarian
I’ve been affectionately referring to it as the "Slackertainer" because of this. The name fits…1 because of the tuning..and 2 because I could see myself playing this on a beach under a palm tree… In any case, it’s simply genius. I love this arragement.
Slack??? Is that ‘Slack key’?? It’s an open G tuning which I guess qualifies?
Mike
Why thank you – it’s not easy to be cool on an old standard like this.
Mike
such as cool
I never heard before :O
Good Jobbb!!!!
Nice Slack…
I devised it about 25 years ago – and I can still get it wrong sometimes! Thanks for the comment.
Mike, I’m in the process of learning your arrangement. I’m sure it’ll take me a while, but I’ll definately post up a video once I’ve got it. Thanks again for sharing.
Muchas gracias mi amigo – hasta luego
Migue/ (Mike)
Un grande. Saludos desde Argentina. Great!
Yes I saw Giorgio’s version. Difficult in standard tuning – I use Open G
I don’t play. Yours and giorgio’s version of this tune are my two favorites. You heard his version of this on YouTube?
Thanks for the comment – are you a player? Have you seen the free tab on my website?
Love "your" special touches you do with it, great stuff. Thanks!
