In which our hero brutally runs roughshod over a cherished pop classic, and then performs a magic trick. Thanks for watching my video instead of "two cats talking".

Well, you know what happened, is, I’d been playing for 10 years. The somebody gave me a banjo, which is tuned in open G, which I liked the sound of, so I got used to playing that way, and carried it back to the guitar. Not much going through my head at all… at least, not during my best takes.

Wow, thanks. I actually have a hard time playing and singing at the same time… glad you liked.

Pick up "The Guitar Handbook" by Ralph Denyer. And take every possible opportunity to jam with others. And listen to Blind Willie Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Lightnin Sam Hopkins. That all should be enough to keep you going for 10 years or so.

Thanks. I tend to view a song as a blank canvas. I have some originals, but I have a harder time taking off and flying them, because they’re too close to my heart.
