Your blues playing is sweet!
Thanks Rob! That was exactly the kind of video I was looking for. Great and informative, keep it up!
that little rif from 3:30 to 3:35 was nice. It would be great if you could slow that down in a future video if you have the time. Thx for the daily videos…good stuff.
hey man, that lick at 12:41, teach usssss hahaha, and by the way which bridge pickup are you using there? it sounds amazingg
Excellent Rob
I am in awe of your guitar *_*
Wow, that was one of the most impressive displays of a mastery of guitar theory that I have seen in quite a while. Rob clearly knows what he is doing, and I know that my own playing has improved through applying his sagely advice. I sincerely hope to someday reach a similar level of understanding and ability. Keep the vids coming Chappers!
"The root note is the most powerful note of the chord"
If you cherish your life, never argue about this with a jazz cat :p
Am I the only one that noticed the monkey lord is wearing a UNSC shirt? :p
At first I’m thinking "there’s no Y note" and then I wake up and realize it spells gay. Go go gadget brains!
Is it bad that it drives me crazy when you don’t transpose because of the Eb tuning? That’s definitely a Db blues you’re playing. 🙂
all i’m saying is….THE BLUES!!!!!
Just a question out of nowhere. I remember you said in one of your previous vids that you grew up in Europe for a while at least. Do you speak any languages besides English?
Hey Rob, which is the amp you’re using? It sounds amazing!
You’ve been practicing your français Rob ! Pretty decent accent too. This daily V-log is really great & inspiring. Can’t wait to meet you in person and buy you juice/a beer ( depending on your diet then ) sometime. 🙂
Chappers, there is nothing G-A to the Y about proper blues! It rules and is in all of our (rock guys) roots!
Hey rob. please check out my channel. I love your vids and i have been subscribed for a while now.
Heard the Apple email sound at 0:45 and thought I had an invisible email…thick.moment.WIN
Yeah that’s called a rake attack – I do it quite a lot for effect 😉
Hey Rob, I don’t know if this has been asked or answered before, but WHERE DID YOU GOT THOSE DREADS MADE? Those look so epic. I have dreads myself but I’m so jealous of yours! Yours. similar simian, Joni.
Rob have tried any Strymon pedals? if so, what do you think of them?
"this repetitive playing of the note is Peter Green" Hubert Sumlin and Muddy Waters who did that on electric first and its always sweet to go to the source. That is based on the delta style of blues (vs Piedmont).
I love the vids and learn from them, but the sad part is, the more that I watch them, the more that I learn that I don’t know crap about music theory. The more I learn, it seems the less I feel that I know, if that makes sense….lol
