    Pretty much anything. But it depends on the subgenre. Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden use mostly E standard, while All Nightmare long by metallica is in Drop D. Slayer also use Eb on some songs. Immortal (Norse black metal band) plays in D standard. Children of Bodom in Drop C, some of their older stuff in C standard, Slipknot plays in Drop B, Amon Amarth in B standard and stuff like Job for a Cowboy is in drop A. It’s all about preferences and what you want to play

    anything low works. Drop D, D standard and C standard are all good.

    Exactly. I can tune a guitar to itself but I need to know it’s in the right key if I’m playing with someone else. On your own it doesn’t matter and sadly I have no tuner…I ate it in a sandwhich with mayo.
