painted the body, new bridge and tail peice. It has high action so it is gonna have to be a slide only guitar it seems. It doesnt like to stay in tune.

If you want to lower the action on this model, you’ll have to loosen your strings. Unscrew the neck bolts and "shim" the guitar neck’s height angle by placing thin strips of flat plastic under it. You can use plastic from a molded plastic package,or a milk carton. I just did this to the same model you have and it worked great. Place the strips (about 1/2 ") in the neck cavity closest to the pickup. This will tilt the neck downward causing the string action to decrease. Give it a try. Good luck

I dig. Especially the way you tuned it down low. The reverb carries it nicely.

I’m sure it would help, but I like having one.
Also, (I realize I don’t show them very well but) the tuners are seriously in TERRIBLE shape and the #1 reason it has tuning problems. I’d like to fix those first to see how big of a difference it will make.

Maybe a non tremelo tailpiece would help your tuning problems.
