  2. Wouldn’t be a Buddy Guy tribute without "Sweet Home Chicago"!!!!!!

  3. and the stones played blues, but paid respect to the blues men before them.

only reason zepp got big was because jimmy sold his soul to the devil

  4. didnt say americans werent ignorant. just said that zepplin stole everything from the black man.

  5. Well, I don’t know that much of Buddy’s music. Apart from a compilation of his ’60s recordings, the only Album I’ve got is "Damn Right, I’ve Got The Blues" but it’s got a great title track (written by Buddy) & includes "Mustang Sally" & "Early in the morning" among its "Blues Standards". An Elvis song & an Etta James song (yeah, I know they didn’t write them) just seem odd choices. Great songs & great performances but…..

  6. "Rememberin’ Stevie" – Buddy’s tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan

  7. Funny how it took Brit bands to show mainstream US white audiences where the roots came from – I mean, The Beach Boys weren’t blues, Elvis was doomed from the moment his comments about blacks "shining his shoes" came out. The Doors were synth-laden dreamsters, and the whole west coast hippy thing was very nice but not really music that shook you to your core. With 110 million plus units sold in the USA alone, that must mean your country is full of twits

  8. Beth Hart has best female voice in whole universe ever. Period.

  9. made no sense to honor buddy guy, and then those that stole the black man’s music, the brit twits, zepplin

  10. Of course it’s a Robert Johnson song (well he was the first to have brought it to the public anyhows) but like many many blues songs its now a ‘standard’.
The point of this performance though is that it’s about Buddy being one of the originators of the ‘Chicago Blues Sound’ It’s also played in the Chicago Blues Style

  11. Absolutely agree with you it was completely stunning show!

  12. I loved everyone on this tribute! Gary Clark, Jr. is someone to watch out for!

  13. The women were slamming! We definitely experience the blues real heavy! That’s for sure!

  14. What was the name of that slow song they played when Buddy Guy was not being acknowledged anymore, and fell out of the limelight? I love it!

  15. This was one of the greatest Kennedy Center Honors show I have ever witnessed! I am a big fan of Mr. Buddy Guy and Led Zeppelin, and Mr. Dustin Hoffman!

  16. You know jeff beck and jimmy page was in a band together call the Yardbirds include Eric Clapton

  17. I thought Sweet Home Chicago was a Robert Johnson song
