  5. Great lesson Marty! Its nice to have someone show you what you can do with these scales.

  6. MARTY YOU RULE!!!! love the lessons and have improved my playing with your videos so much more than with private lessons… i have studied with other instructors and have learned more from your instruction than ANY of the others i have paid big bucks for..with your scale videos it helps you learn just excatly where you are on the fretboard at any point of a solo and helps you improvise in any situtation.. THANK YOU MARTY FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Hey Marty,
Many thanks for all the tutorials they have been so helpful!
I am trying to learn, Jack Johnson – Bob Marley Sublime Melody,
Any chance you could make a tutorial video for it?
    Many thanks

  8. they both share the same notes E minor and G major but he is using the open position of E minor but yes if you know your scales you’ll see the G Major scale

  9. Oh I think I understand what you mean. G major pentatonic are the same notes as E minor pentatonic.

  10. The blues scale is a pentatonic scale with one added note, called the blue note. I don’t know what you mean by playing an E minor pentatonic scale in the key of G?

  11. will someone explain to me why this scale that he is playing is not an E minor pentatonic scale that would be played in the key of G instead of the key of E?
