Heres OlRusty, my first Amistar guitar from 2005. Open C tuning, it has a very nice bassy sound! Neck has 14 frets clear of the body, rather slim mahogany neck..

So, fun fact: be careful googling "amistar" at work or with children present!

Cool, I really want to start learning to play like this! Any tips? Also what would be a good guitar to start with?

When this was recorded I’d been playing slide for about 5-6 years. Started out back then as a singer, needed to play guitar as well so this turned out to be my path..
Bottleneck style is a good way to express one self on guitar!

I think the Amistar has aged well, and has a beautiful patina. I believe the fellow is demonstrating this type of guitar, used in a few different ways. I hear Charlie Patton, Skip James. I play a ’39 National and I think this Amistar sounds very good.
