The easy answer to those question is that they are the same five notes (six if you include the blues note) repeated over and over. There are five basic positions – each containing roughly two octaves of the pentatonic scale – and Marty is showing you one path through several of those positions. That’s how the notes fit, because they are the same notes in different registers. He is covering more than three octaves in pitch from the low end of the run to the high end.
